Caralluma fimbriata

Caralluma is also known as the famine plant-when people were starving, they would eat this plant and it would curb their hunger pangs. Luckily, you don’t have to be starving to get the benefits! I have been taking this for a good amount of time with a mostly ketogenic diet. I haven’t been exercising as much as I do lately, so I didn’t see much, if any fat loss. However, it definitely does keep you feeling sated for longer. It prevents me getting hangry, which is good for everyone.

 

Women’s multivitamin

It’s as good as any average women’s multivitamin. I have a pretty strict supplement stack, so I can usually note changes pretty easily. This replaced my previous women’s multi. It is a little big and hard to swallow-I have a hiatal hernia so that is a minus for me. There was a little bitterness involved when taking it. The quality of ingredients seems high, and they’re all proven to have health benefits. I noticed no difference from my previous women’s multi.

 

Pine Sky Kids Stainless Steel Lunch Box

I love stainless steel. I use that and glass pretty much exclusively, for my family’s safety. I love this little bento type box. It is smaller than I expected (or wanted) and can hold 3/4 of a regular sized sandwich on bread in the biggest compartment. If it was big enough to fit a whole sandwich, it would be perfect. As is, I use it for my 3 year old as he generally eats less than the big kids.This is very sturdy and well made, and easy enough my 3 year old can open and close it on his own. It’s easy to watch and relieves my mind to know no nasty plastics are leaching into my kid’s food!

 

10″ oscillating fan

This fan is compact and whisper quiet. It’s perfect for use as a desk fan. I’m using mine in my kitchen to help move along food odors and avoid using the air conditioning. It is very easy to use, just turn the knob! It seems very durable and well made. The plastic is sturdy, and the chrome accent makes it a little bit more special. This is a great fan for many uses.

Honest good shower cap

Yes, it’s dork. It’s a shower cap. No one can wear them and look cool. However, it’s kind of quirky cute! I love that it’s environmentally friendly and PVC/phthlate free, because that is very important to me-we keep plastics in our house to a bare minimum, and try to get the friendly kind like this when we do. It fits well, on myself and my children. It’s soft and comfortable to wear, not scratchy like most shower caps. This is a great reusable, long lasting shower cap.

Wow, this is bright! I bought this to use for my dog when he goes outside at night. I mounted it quickly and easily to my deck, and as promised, every motion set it off. The 16 LEDs really pack a punch. It being solar powered is perfect for me-1, I am lazy and would forget to change the batteries and 2, yay for anything environmentally friendly at this point! It was super easy to use and worked as described. I did see some other people complain theirs didn’t last very long, so I’ll update if it does fail at some point.

First of all, these are not for plus size people. For reference, I am 5’4″ and 145 lbs and I had to get a 2xl (I do have an apple shaped body) Make sure you measure your waist and go by that measurement alone (on their sizing chart it says a 2xl is for 190-210 lbs for example which is ridiculous) Use the sizing chart in the pictures, not Amazon’s. Don’t be offended by the size you end up being.
Past the annoyance of selecting the right size, or realizing they don’t have them for plus sizes, I am seriously impressed by this waist cincher. As I mentioned, I have an apple shaped body and it’s worse after 3 kids, so I’ve tried a lot of waist training items. The quality is superb. It’s well made and durably constructed. It fit me perfectly based on my waist measurement. This is as good as any name brand waist cinchers out there, and I like that it’s so colorful-you could wear this outside of your clothes to be fashionable.

My husband uses this with his Samsung galaxy S7 edge. He likes that it has an extra long cord that splits into two so whatever your need-long or short, it works. It is easy to use with the clip. It picks up a lot more noise and background noise than expected. The sound is great and better than my phone alone-crisp and clear. Handy little thing to keep around!

 

Coffee body scrub

 

First of all, I can’t believe they recommend using this on your face or for eczema. Please don’t do either one. You’ll only create more problems. Also, nothing gets rid of cellulite, but who cares? Everyone has some. It smells great but can get gross after a while-it’s a little too much coffee for my taste. It also makes your tub really slippery so use with caution! Apply to wet skin, but try not to get the scrub wet, it will go bad. It makes my skin super soft and resilient after using. It gets rid of my flaky dried skin perfectly. Don’t buy into all the beauty claims, but know it’s a wonderful natural body scrub. Full of all kinds of healthy, natural ingredients that make my hippie self happy.

He has a slightly larger than normal head for his age, and they fit him and his almost 6 year old sister perfectly. They were a bit too tight and straining for my 7.5 year old who has around a 21″ size head. I love that they’re polarized. Most kids’ sunglasses are so cheap, I think they probably provide very little real sun protection. These do. The case is super tough and will protect the glasses well, as long as you make sure to wrest them away from your kid! All in all, these are the best sunglasses I’ve seen for little kids in a while. #tocreviews #gotitforadiscount

These timers are great. They’re like any other decent timer. They seem fairly well put together, and pretty durable as they survived my kids playing with them. You do need to add a battery to the big one, it doesn’t come with one. It’s handy that they are magnetic so they can hang on the fridge. If you need a timer you can hold in your hand, and see from across the room, try this one.

Memory foam bath mat

 

This is the most luxurious, comfortable bath mat I’ve ever owned. It feels so amazing under my feet-soft and smooth, and oh so cushy thanks to the memory foam. I’m planning on getting another for my other bathroom. The only issue is if you have 2 people take a shower right after each other, it’s still really wet and squishes out-it doesn’t just absorb it like a typical bath mat. No need to pick it up to let it dry though!

 

Dr. Who/Starry night mashup curtain

 

This is the worst rendition of starry night I’ve ever seen. It’s so stretched out and pixelated, you can barely tell what it looks like. It looks NOTHING like the picture they have. The Tardis is all stretched out and bloated and way at the top-this is just awful. I’m going to buy a starry night shower curtain and just paint the Tardis in. If you are a Van Gogh or Dr. Who fan, look elsewhere for your fan gear.

I love that these are stainless steel and won’t rust, because that is a huge problem I have in my bathroom. They’re not flimsy. They are of solid construction and thick and durable. They are easy to open and close and replace your old set. The balls give it a nice fancy decorator touch and gives my bathroom a sense of fun.

 

 

 

Ex-anxiety supplement

 

I have high anxiety and stress and depression. I try many natural alternatives, as well as daily meditation. I want to avoid taking prescription medicine. After taking these for about a week, I haven’t noticed any improvement in my mood or stress level. They claim 3-4 days in the description, which is definitely not true. I’ll update if I feel any difference-usually supplements can take 3 weeks or more to show a change.
It gets a good review for using GMP facilities, being 3rd party tested, and containing several ingredients that do have the effect this supplement claims to have. They are odorless, tasteless and easy to swallow.

The color is pretty spot on from the picture. The sheets wash up nicely and became even softer-they feel incredibly good to your skin. They fit my king bed perfectly and tightly, no sags or looseness.The elastic is thick and they are well stitched.

These feel as good as all the big designer brands (no, I’m not rich, but I’m picky about my sheets so I get them at TJ Maxx for a discount) and best of all, if your sheets are frayed or crappy throughout the life of them-you can get a free set! Now that’s a deal, and makes me want to buy more from this company.

 

Retinol anti-aging moisturizer

 

I have gotten this moisturizer under several different companies, so make sure you’re shopping around to find the best deal. The best part is…they ALL work. I have crazy stretch marks from having 3 children, and I even used super expensive ($60 a tube) special pregnancy lotion to avoid them. Unfortunately, my stomach is a road map. In a month of consistently using this moisturizer, my stomach looks better than it ever has postpartum. The skin is plumped up and reduces the appearance of my many stretch marks. I used on one side of my stomach and one breast, just to make sure I was seeing real results. Now, I have to get the other side caught up to this. The only complaint I have is that it is such thick, heavy cream that it feels kind of icky once you get warm. I love that it’s an all natural mix of ingredients instead of a bunch of gross chemical laden serum.

This soap smells SO AMAZING! I’ve got the shower gel as well-same scent. Vetiver, lime, and nutmeg essential oils give it a slightly musky spicy scent that is not too strong, and works for men or women (I know this says “men’s soap” but really?) It’s a huge bar, and lathers easily, so it will be very long lasting. It’s a well cured bar of soap. I love the natural ingredients. I usually take bentonite clay internally, and this was my first time using it externally. My skin feels fantastic (especially as soap is usually pretty drying-this isn’t)

I love this lighter. It has a nice weight in your hand. It’s very solid and durable. The butane level was easy to adjust and to refill. It’s cool that it shoots the flame out of the side-quite a difference from most lighters! This looks luxurious and expensive, and comes in a nice giftable box.

To be honest, as a gardener, this seemed weird to me-coleus being something you can ingest? Coleus as a health supplement? Hmm. So I did some research and found out that the reason I like it so much as a gardener (it roots easily and quickly from cuttings) are because it is a part of the mint family, and pretty much all mints are known to be digestive aids. It has been shown to be good for your heart, so even if you’re not losing weight, you’re strengthening your heart.

As you may have noticed by now, I have a new affinity for ayurvedic herbs, of which this is one. I have noticed an increase in belly fat lost, but that is literally the only point on my body that I have to burn fat on now. I’ll keep taking it, because it appears it’s working (I’ve had 3 kids in 6 years and had a diastasis that worsened with each one. My stomach is awful)

My husband bought this for galaxy s7 edge. He has a screen protector that had been damaged by other cases-this one hasn’t damaged his new screen protector at all, which is a bonus. It’s a good cheap case. He doesn’t drop his much and takes really good care of his phone, so I don’t know how well it protects against stronger damage (so if you’re a klutz like me, sorry, you gotta shell out bigger bucks than this)
He loves the way it looks all techy and shiny, and that’s it’s so lightweight and slim. It is very durable. Definitely tops among cheap cases.

Poe Dameron Star Wars bionicle

My oldest is addicted to 2 things-Bionicles and Star Wars. I think this is the 3rd or 4th Star Wars Bionicle he’s purchased with his own money. They are simple for my little master builder to put together, and he’s very satisfied with Poe. They’re starting to make them less complicated and less pieces, which I hope they stop doing, because he doesn’t enjoy that.

Tweezer trio

Wow, are these sharp! I’ve never found anything that rivaled my tweezerman, but these do for sure. I couldn’t figure out how to use the two pointy ones (for splinters maybe?) but the angled ones worked so well on my eyebrows-picking out baby hairs that are usually missed. They came in a very nice and well stitched leather case that will protect their sharp edges.

I’ll admit, it seems pricey at first. When I received it, it is capped with a cap with a tiny, tiny hole. You give it a little squirt and that teensy, tiny amount is enough to wash my entire 5’4″ body. My husband said it takes him 2-3 but that’s plenty of suds to clean my mountain man. We live in super hippy camping country so I’m excited that this is safe to use in wilderness areas as well. Bentonite clay is never anything I’ve used externally, only consumed externally, but it seems to have helped my skin feel tighter after a shower without feeling dry. I enjoy the smell-it’s a good mix between masculine and feminine-not too flowery, not too musky, just a perfect woodsy mix.

This case is awesome for a klutz like me. I wish it wasn’t so expensive-it’s more than an otterbox and doesn’t protect the front as well. However, other ones are UGLY and this one is SUPER cute. I drop my phone ALL the time. I also am using a screen protector since this doesn’t protect the front. It’s better than cheap cases because it has a lip up over the front for minimal protection (beware, this will mess your screen protector up unless you have one that is safe to use with a case) it’s easy to use and seems very sturdy. You can even download matching wallpaper for your phone!

Black feather boa

When you open the package, do it outside. It’s like a black bird was ripped apart-feathers are flying everywhere. Once you shake free all the loose ones, only tiny pieces come loose, it stays together pretty well. My kids love it for dress up. The feathers are soft and silky and held together firmly. Would make a great addition to a costume.

 

Mini skateboard

I was apprehensive reading other reviews-but had no issues whatsoever with this skateboard. The deck is made of a very sturdy plastic, and the wheels are securely attached and well made. It isn’t cheap feeling at all. My 3, 5 and 7 year old were all able to use it without any issue (except for the fact that we only got 1 and they were fighting over it!) I like that the deck has grip up top because my kids like to go barefoot a lot, so they can still ride easily. It’s a great price for a mini skateboard that will give your kids hours of enjoyment.

I like that it’s stainless steel so it won’t rust in my shower-my previous metal rod did and it looks disgusting. This gives a lot of extra room in the shower! I was surprised by how free I felt-most showers feel so constricting and tiny. No more when you get this curved rod! Perfect for any household, even rentals. Make your shower experience a happy one!
