“The rechargeable battery is a huge plus. Regular batteries always run out too quickly which means more money spent overall on a more cheaply produced item. This is very robust and has a well manufactured feel and heft for a pocket light. The zoom feature is very effective and useful.
I was surprised at how much it improved my ability to sharpen in on objects in the dark. It’s insanely bright. When you zoom it in all the way, you can actually see the LED panel, which might be bothersome for some people (it really freaks out the cat) I usually get the free ones from Harbor Freight that are just total junk. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat at full price. ”

(side note, the flashlight zooming in and out totally freaked out our cat. I’ll admit we had some fun with that. I have to keep it up high because my kids keep trying to steal it because it’s so much fun and so cool to use.)

Hydro Gizmos Waterproof Pouch with Adjustable EXTRA Long Waist Strap

This isn’t joking, it’s totally waterproof. It’s also completely inconvenient to get to your items or use them near/in the water. It rolls several times to secure the waterproofing so you’d have a rough time using it like they say-you can activate your touch screen through the container, it’s just annoying. However, if you’re merely concerned with keeping your things dry at the beach or while hiking, this is perfect. It’s large enough to easily hold the basics (phone, key, money) plus some extras. The strap is extra long, so you don’t even have to wear at your waist-I strapped it crossbody so the pouch laid on my back. It is well constructed and could take a beating, even if it somehow came unbuckled, your stuff is safe in this case.

Totally cuter than they look in the pictures. I bought these to give out as favors at my daughter’s birthday party. I was expecting something like dollar store quality, but was pleasantly surprised that they are higher quality than that. The elastic is probably not super tough, but it’s not tiny and thin and I feel will hold up well to standard kid abuse better than cheaper sets. For the price, it’s a good value. The beads are nicely finished and smooth to the touch. The colors are pretty and vibrant. It’s cute that they come in ready made goody bags like real jewelry, because  kids always seem to like things that make it seem more grown up.

Woodless Colored Pencils 24 by Arteza

These are the best set of colored pencils I’ve used since I splurged on some Prismacolors. These are really amazing, and I know people think reviews are all lies, but I am working on my art and trying to search out quality but affordable art supplies for myself and my children. First of all, these have no wood-they’re ALL COLOR. They have a plastic sheath around the outside to protect your skin from color rubbing off. They are very vibrant on several types of paper, and will last much longer since it’s all color. The pencils are very easy and smooth on paper. I would buy these again at full price in a heartbeat. They are great for any amateur or aspiring artist, of all ages.

Outdoor String Lights by Deneve® – 48 Feet Long

So we recently moved, as you may know. I have a tiny little back patio in a subdivision and everything is the same- BORING!!! I had been searching and searching for just the right lights. Most are solar and junk, or battery powered, which is annoying and not environmentally friendly.

My husband rigged up the lights with some 2x4s and a hook attaching them to our house. The Tibetan prayer flags I had gotten a while ago, and they’re the perfect compliment. The lights were easy to use, and the cable is SO heavy duty that these seem like they will last for a really, really long time. The light bulbs are a really cool shape and kind of have a steampunk feel (they are specialty bulbs which makes them expensive to replace-I found some at Ace). I have gotten compliments from all my neighbors on how gorgeous and beautiful my porch is, especially lit up night after night. They provide the perfect amount of light for our area, which is pretty dark-we are in the mountains. I recommend these to anyone looking to spice up their outdoor living area. They’re expensive but well made, and worth the price.

Sports Towel Cooling Towels

 

This is not what I expected-the pictures aren’t really very accurate imo. That doesn’t mean the product is bad-just update your pictures!
I actually love this towel. It’s so tiny and lightweight, I tuck it in our bag when we leave the house-it’s perfect for taking to the swimming pool, sports events, outdoor festivals, the playground…there’s a multitude of uses. It’s really large and doesn’t need much water to become cooler. My kids love it because they can wrap it around themselves. My husband uses it when he mows the lawn (we live in a subdivision so there is 0 shade) It’s well sewn, and though it’s lightweight, it’s not a cheap fabric. It seems pretty sturdy (I sew a lot and am familiar with all different materials) No one wants to believe the free reviews, but mine are always honest-I tell the good, bad and the ugly. This is worth it if you spend any time outside in the sun. Just tuck it in your purse or pocket and you’re ready for adventure.

 

 

Rosehip Oil for Face, Nails, Hair and Skin

I have seen some not so nice reviews for this company, however I have not had any issues. I have purchased rosehip oil from several other companies as well. I love it for fine lines-nothing helps plump my forehead and crow’s lines more than rosehip oil. This has the same scent (virtually none) and consistency (a little runny) as every other rosehip oil I’ve tried. Rose hip oil does work, but it does take time to see results, so don’t expect miracles. With regular use, I started seeing a difference in about a month of use.

 

Philips Sonicare for Kids Connected Sonic Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush, HX6321/02

This is the coolest toothbrush ever!!! I’ve been searching for the perfect sonic brush for my kids to share (they each have their own toothbrush heads) the major caveat is I didn’t see that it only works with apple (if you know how it works with Android let me know) luckily we have both types. My children eagerly set up their profile and “sparkly” on the app. You brush along with your sparkly and they encourage you and give you tips along the way. When you’re consistent you get prizes for your guy. We never do this type of motivation so my kids just adore it.
The toothbrush itself is easy enough to operate that even my 3 year old doesn’t need help. It is an easy charge base, sit it and forget it. It has encouraged my kids into wanting to brush they’re teeth more often than ever which makes it 100% worth the cost. You can get extended insurance in it for just a few bucks too. Easy to use, easy to share, one of my favorite recent purchases.

Caralluma is also known as the famine plant-when people were starving, they would eat this plant and it would curb their hunger pangs. Luckily, you don’t have to be starving to get the benefits! I have been taking this for a good amount of time with a mostly ketogenic diet. I haven’t been exercising as much as I do lately, so I didn’t see much, if any fat loss. However, it definitely does keep you feeling sated for longer. It prevents me getting hangry, which is good for everyone.

 

Women’s multivitamin

It’s as good as any average women’s multivitamin. I have a pretty strict supplement stack, so I can usually note changes pretty easily. This replaced my previous women’s multi. It is a little big and hard to swallow-I have a hiatal hernia so that is a minus for me. There was a little bitterness involved when taking it. The quality of ingredients seems high, and they’re all proven to have health benefits. I noticed no difference from my previous women’s multi.

 

Pine Sky Kids Stainless Steel Lunch Box

I love stainless steel. I use that and glass pretty much exclusively, for my family’s safety. I love this little bento type box. It is smaller than I expected (or wanted) and can hold 3/4 of a regular sized sandwich on bread in the biggest compartment. If it was big enough to fit a whole sandwich, it would be perfect. As is, I use it for my 3 year old as he generally eats less than the big kids.This is very sturdy and well made, and easy enough my 3 year old can open and close it on his own. It’s easy to watch and relieves my mind to know no nasty plastics are leaching into my kid’s food!

 

10″ oscillating fan

This fan is compact and whisper quiet. It’s perfect for use as a desk fan. I’m using mine in my kitchen to help move along food odors and avoid using the air conditioning. It is very easy to use, just turn the knob! It seems very durable and well made. The plastic is sturdy, and the chrome accent makes it a little bit more special. This is a great fan for many uses.

Honest good shower cap

Yes, it’s dork. It’s a shower cap. No one can wear them and look cool. However, it’s kind of quirky cute! I love that it’s environmentally friendly and PVC/phthlate free, because that is very important to me-we keep plastics in our house to a bare minimum, and try to get the friendly kind like this when we do. It fits well, on myself and my children. It’s soft and comfortable to wear, not scratchy like most shower caps. This is a great reusable, long lasting shower cap.

 

Solar Motion Light Weatherproof Outdoor Solar Light Wireless Solar Motion Security Light

 

Wow, this is bright! I bought this to use for my dog when he goes outside at night. I mounted it quickly and easily to my deck, and as promised, every motion set it off. The 16 LEDs really pack a punch. It being solar powered is perfect for me-1, I am lazy and would forget to change the batteries and 2, yay for anything environmentally friendly at this point! It was super easy to use and worked as described. I did see some other people complain theirs didn’t last very long, so I’ll update if it does fail at some point.

Face Painting Kit for Kids

 

My kids adore having their faces painted. It’s one of our favorite activities. As you know if you’ve seen any of my other reviews, I am a very natural minded mama. I don’t want to put some gross paint that could have who knows what chemical composition on their faces. It’s so hard to find a face paint set that isn’t junk (I’ve only found 2 other options in 7 years that are nice) These are non-toxic and paraben free and made from food grade pigment.

The paints themselves are thick and luxurious and highly pigmented. They’re easy to apply, but harder than other paints to wash from the brush when switching colors. The glitter is a fun addition. The brushes are higher quality than I was expecting. I have a professional set of facepaint brushes, and these are as good. You do have to scrub a good bit to get it off-my daughter obviously didn’t do a great job trying to clean her own face.

I’m not usually a fan of workout gloves. I find them to impede me more often than they help. However, the hotter it gets, the sweatier I am and the more I lose my grip on heavy lifts. I couldn’t figure out how to use the little circular hand grips without impeding my lifts, so that is why the 4 star. The wrist supporting grips are great for things like front squats. They are well stitched and appear to be quite durable. If you’re worried about getting calluses or ripping your hands, give these a try.

Sunnytech® Solar Power Water Pump Kits

This is such a fun, easy little fountain. My kids had a ton of fun setting it up-all you need is a bowl, water, and some sun! (We tried it with a flashlight and under a light bulb just to see-it does have to be the sun) This would be a perfect addition to a tiny front yard-I’m getting a cute pot and getting some water plants and setting it up in my front yard. It seems pretty durable-there’s a piece of plastic covering the solar panel that you can remove.
If you’re looking to add a fun, and easily changeable/movable water interest to your yard, this is a great choice.

This is full of quality ingredients, all proven to be effective at repairing skin. I haven’t noticed much of a difference yet, except the area I’ve used it on is noticeably smoother. Most scar creams take months to actually fully repair the skin, so I’m sure with consistent use, this one will as well. I like that it’s made of natural and organic ingredients-not a bunch of chemical junk that would do more harm than good.
It doesn’t have much of a scent, and is a very light cream, not heavy like many scar creams are. I like that the company offers a money back guarantee. I always feel that companies that do that really believe in their product.

We are an avid outdoor loving family of 5. Packing 5 water bottles every time we hike is SUCH a hassle. Enter the hydration pack backpack. It completely solves the water bottle problem! It is so easy to fill the BPA free liner (and it’s easy to clean to boot) The mouthpiece and tube are separate from the bladder and can be connected and disconnected with an easy click. The mouthpiece is a bit complicated at first-make sure you pull it out and push back in after drinking so it doesn’t leak. The backpack itself is perfectly roomy and offers a number of convenient storage pockets, as well as having spaces to carry 2 bottles on the outside as well (handy when you have a sick kid like we did and didn’t want his germs!!) This is a solid choice for anyone who likes to spend time outdoors. It’s well stitched and made of heavy duty fabric. My family gives it 5 stars!

To be honest, this tastes like bark. To combat that, my husband drinks it in a glass of Trader Joe’s pink lemonade! As a dietary supplement, tribulus terrestris has been shown in some animal studies to increase levels of testosterone and to increase sex drive and performance. Today it is mainly used by athletes to increase strength and muscle mass, as well as for sexual enhancement in both men and women.

It is a little tough to choke down, but my husband said it made him feel more energized and sexually potent after just taking for a short time. He doesn’t feel stronger but has more endurance. It’s definitely a worthwhile supplement and very affordable.

Buddy, our dachshund Australian shepherd mix, looks extraordinarily smooth after his bath with Bubba’s groovy dog shampoo. His fur has never been so shiny and so soft! We are a pretty natural family and I include our dog in that as well. The ingredients in this shampoo are all high quality and so much better than the chemical mixes at the local pet store. It’s a huge bottle and lathers well at small amounts-a little goes a long way, so this bottle will last! (unless you have a giant dog, in which case you literally have bigger problems) I am hoping it lives up to it’s promise to relieve flea irritated itching skin, as we have a serious flea problem here no matter what natural treatments we try.
